Hell strip heaven…

This San Antonio hell strip is practical and beautiful.  Simple and sweet!

The dragon’s blood sedum (Sedum spurium) will thrive in this spot.

And this blackfoot daisy (Melampodium leucanthum) will laugh at the reflected heat from the street.

These are great choices for a Texas hell strip!  I would recommend several specimens of pink muhly grass (Muhlenbergia capillaris) to add to the beauty of this hell strip and provide a party of fall color and some height.

In LOOOOOOOOOOOVE with this hell strip!  My friend Beth did a lovely job with it – thank you Beth for letting me share your beautiful hell strip with the world!

love the dragon’s blood- where does it go when mulched in with pebble like that? does it sprawl over the pebbles?

    • It will spread out a lot…..and it will love the inorganic mulch. – xericstyle
