Property Border PART 2
First, thanks to Brian and family in Boerne, Texas for all my LOVELY rocks…I plan to keep visiting and taking every rock off their property and bringing it to mine until they ask me to stop!
My poor little 32 year old 240D – I got a few looks with my back end almost touching the highway let me tell you! EEK! Although nothing beats the hauling power of a diesel. I am thankful however, that my neighbor said she would take me back in her pick up truck at some point next week. I have had two nail biting trips to the Texas Hillcountry and only have about 10ft of my rock pile fence complete. But as I always tell myself, moving forward is still moving forward…
This is what the cement paver edging looks like on its own. And look at those weeds and grass making their way towards it – HA SUCKERS! You can try…You can see my edging pavers buried pretty deep, but still looking ….well…UGLY. I am covering them on both sides, and on top, with these beautiful Texas limestone boulders. If you were to buy these at a landscape store, it is about $100 plus per pallet PLUS delivery. Gotta love craigslist…one man’s junk in another’s treasure…
I am loving how this is looking. I could do one rock on each side…or even one rock “thick”…but I am loving the BIG pile that this is making. I like the impact it has. Something about a pile of rocks…inuksuks….I love those piles of rocks!
A fence! …for free! Well….there was the nail biting drive I mentioned…could have taken a year off my life. HAAaaaaaa!
Here is how it is coming along…a few more trips and it will be complete. Can’t wait! I wanted to show everyone my progress.
Happy transforming everyone!
