Mellow Yellow and Sea Anenome Artichoke
I can’t decide what I love more about my yellow yarrow plant…the striking silver fern-like foliage or the funky flowers. This plant is incredible! Yarrow is a must have in your xeric garden.
I decided to let a couple of artichokes flower instead of harvesting them to eat. How pretty is this flower – it looks like a sea anenome to me.
Even before the purple anenome flowers come out, this looks like a flower too doesn’t it? All the points are so pretty on their own.
A couple of my favorite plants right now, thought I would share. Both of these plants are tough as nails too – BONUS!
, great photos! especially like the artichoke in bloom!
Thanks Zeke! Meeeee tooooo! – xericstyle
Agreed on the photos. What camera are you using?
Thank you so much – I have been working on it. I am planning on taking a photography class soon as my picture taking is …well…normally pretty terrible. I rely on the luck of “auto” for a few good shots. I shoot with a Nikon D40X and I know this camera can do a lot of beautiful things that I need to find out how to do! Thanks for stopping by today. – xericstyle
The agave arm creeping into that picture is wonderful! Those look like some epic spikes. Do show the whole thing. I absolutely love agaves!!!! oh so envious.
Thanks Louis! I will take some more wide angled shots soon, we are having work done on the house in behind that bed – they better not crush my Agave!!!!! Have a great weekend! – xericstyle
