Cactus meets mushroom…

I did a double-take this morning when I walked by this planter – a mushroom next to a cactus…pretty cool!  We have had a lot of rain…I mean A LOT of rain the last week or so, and as a result, mushrooms baby!

Look at how cute this looks.  I love fungi, and they are so important and VITAL to Mother Earth…to us…to our gardens.  Not to mention, delish and so healthy!  No but in all seriousness, it was so enlightening to learn how much these powerhouses do for us, and most of them, we can’t even see.  I recently watched an EXCELLENT documentary on mushrooms called Know your Mushrooms.   Ron Mann investigates the miraculous, near-secret world of fungi.  Check the film out, it is WAY worth watching.

If you see mushrooms in your garden, don’t fret….they are a good sign!!!!!
Got mushrooms?

Wonderful little mushroom friends! That is an odd sight ill admit – but soon cool! Some people pay extra for those little mushroom lawn ornaments, but you’ve grown your own.

    • Ha! Ha! I know, right!? I hope that planter dries out soon! – xericstyle
