Peep peep – Happy Valentine’s Day! xo

We have two new additions to our clan today…wee little Plymouth Rock pullets.  So far so good…our big fat mama Light Brahma’s have been accepting.  These two breeds are documented to get along well with other breeds and pets, so we have everyone in the same coop.  It is not ideal to mix hens of different ages in the same coop….but it can be done with success so I am thinking positive.Barred Rock Pullets

  1. How cute! Happy Valentine’s Day to you:)

    • Thank you Steph – you too! -xericstyle

  2. Ha ha, cute birds! Someone sent me a pic of a heart from the beach in Malibu today, so I sent back a pic of one of my Opuntia macrocentra pads that’s heart-shaped…but purple, not red!

    • How pretty! Happy Valentines day David :) I have been so outta the loop. Still have company – loving having the folks here but so out of routine. I look forward to catching up soon. -xericstyle

  3. Cute, very cute! What size eggs do they give? Christina

    • Our light brahmas give a medium sized brown egg. The Plymouth Rocks are supposed to give a large light brown egg. We will see :) – xericstyle
