Wide Shot – January 2014

Please join me in posting a wide shot of your garden the first of every month, or anytime you get to it in the month. It is my hope, that this exercise will assist us all both in the appreciation of our gardens as they grow and change, and in growing and learning ourselves to recognize changes we may want to make.

Looks very sunny with you. Do your winter temperatures ever get very low?

  Your gardens look so well maintained lady! You must be spending a lot of time out there these days? Thanks for sharing such wonderful shots. Our temps are about to get colder the next few days….down to 28 they say. I have only been here for 8 years…in my 8 year experience, I would say, a handful of nights below freezing each winter. My husband says there have been many years of prolonged freezes here though. – xericstyle

    that sounds a lot like the climate here although when it does get cold the tempertures can go down to minus 12-15°C, thats about 8 F

    BRRRRRRRRRrrrrrrrrrr! I figured though, that our climates were similar considering we grow a lot of similar plants. Glad I have not seen minus 12-15 here in San Antone though! -xericstyle

Thanks for sharing so much in your post this month, I am in love with your paths!:) This month the pretty tan colors are showing around my garden, which is one of the reasons we chose that color to paint our brick…I may like the tan gulf muhly plumes more than the purply pink! -xericstyle

Your front has such curb appeal in winter. You get an A…spring and fall are only practice exams, summer is the mid-term exam, but winter is the final exam for gardens!

I love your wide shot! I know I’m a little late, but for my contribution, I’m focusing on my sadly neglected hill side, which isn’t nearly as nice looking as your front garden. Hopefully the view will be a lot better in the next few months! And your meme will make sure I have pictures! Thanks for hosting!
