Wide Shot – May 2014

Wide shot - May 2014Things are starting to wake up and green up and flower up!  I am excited, this is my front gardens’ leap year!  Year 3!!!!!

Please join me in posting a wide shot of your garden the first of every month, or anytime you get to it in the month.  It is my hope, that this exercise will assist us all both in the appreciation of our gardens as they grow and change, and in growing and learning ourselves to recognize changes we may want to make.

  1. The front beds are filling in again nicely. We could all use some rain though. I’m already tired of hand watering and it hasn’t even gotten consistently hot yet.

I got totally carried away this month – pinky swear to reign it in next go-round. My post is here: http://austinagrodolce.blogspot.com/2014/05/take-walk-on-wide-side.html

    • Your wide shots are DELICIOUS! My goodness…your beds on the front slopes…all those beautiful wildflowers carpeting the ground …the way your paths go in the back…Oh my goodness…I am excited about this meme now just so I can see your wide shots! Thank you so much for participating! -xericstyle

  2. WOW! Heather your yard is looking sooo beautiful. I love the huge opuntia!!! I’ve been on blogging hiatus for a while but finally am getting back into it. I’ve been back to university. I’m doing the PDP (teacher education program) at Simon Fraser University right now. Anyways, it has been too long. How are you doing these days?

  4. I thought your garden was already in the leap stage! I am amazed at how large your prickly pears are now. I remember your pictures when you planted them a couple of years ago.

  5. Your front yard looks great, Heather! What’s the tree (or large shrub?) I see near the walkway to the front door?
I’ve taken photos of each of the major regions of my garden again this month. This meme is one of the best tools I’ve got for keeping a record of my progress in renovating my garden. Thanks for hosting!
