Wide Shot – August 2015
Hi friends! It has been sporadic posts from me, and I am sorry for that. I have been super busy career building after my youngest started school and my priorities in my life have shifted…or changed somewhat…for now. But I am still here, missing you! :)
As life changes and I grow and evolve, so does my garden. I guess what I really want to share today, is despite my garden being neglected, here it is still thriving…Texas natives and well-adapted plants shining away. I am willing to bet that if I had grass….it simply would not have made it…

Yes I’ve noticed you’ve been a busy little bee writing for things like this:

We’ll miss you here, but more will enjoy what you’re doing over there … :-)
Oh wow! Look at your garden go Heather! All that initial work and planning have paid off with a front garden so easy to take care of now and just right for your tough, south facing location.
Wow! It looks fantastic!!! Shows what a great landscape designer you are!
I had no idea that you are a writer for GardenStyleSA!?!? I subscribe to their newsletter. YAY! I’m so happy for you and will be on the lookout for more articles to come:):):)
Your garden is looking grand – establishing gracefully, lean for the summer but still strong. Your prickly pears are ready to take over the world! I hear you about changes and no time for blogs, garden care, etc.
I feel so tired at times, that the time I need to design others’ gardens slips by, day after day!
I’m glad you’re still here when you have time to post, Heather. I always look forward to hearing about your gardening adventures, but I understand about career building. That and family come first!
The garden looks great! I see you have a Monarch Waystation sign too. It won’t be long before they are passing through.
