Little things matter!

BEFORE: This picture was taken back in February – I decided I really needed to rectify this situation.  Painting of the house needs to wait.  Other more expensive jobs need to wait.  But this…this I could handle.

When I look at the before and after pictures of this tiny space in my garden, I see the big impact that it has.  This is where people come up to the house, enter the garden, begin walking the path towards our home.  This is what guests park in front of.  This one spot needed to be inviting and charming and cool.  It used to scream, “Abandoned house!”  Now it says, “Welcome. ” As it should be.  And this solution was not expensive at all.

  1. Little things can do a lot and really plants aren’t expensive in the scheme of things. Christina

    • Hi Christina! It never ceases to amaze me the difference plants and landscaping can make – how cool and rewarding it is too! – xericstyle

  2. A little fresh paint, some good plants and it is so much better.

    Very nice!

    • Thank you Shirley, I breathe a sigh of relief when I look at that area now. It is just amazing the difference landscaping makes! But you know that. I enjoyed your “zeroscape to xeriscape” post a lot. You have made incredible changes!!!!! – xericstyle
